Minecraft for iPhone. Fake or real?

You may have already seen this, but there's a mysterious website floating around. http://minecraftapp.net/ It looks to be minecraft for the iPhone/iPod touch/iPad. Not anotherguide app, not another day and night app, butthe real minecraft, on your iPhone. As an iPod touch 4th generation user myself, I've always dreamt of this. If this app is real, I will pay any amount of money for it. But the question is... Is it real?

The website itself has a big "Not a hoax!" button, which when clicked leads to notches reply to a tweet.

The original question, asked by frodeknutsen was

Notch doesnt seem too happy about this. Plus, releasing this app without notches permision would be 39 types of illegal. Or maybe they might take the minecraft copy approach, like making a manic digger type game. Notch hasn't taken legal actions on the clones so thiscould be a reasonable solution if notch says no (Although us hereon crafthub hate minecraft clones). Some of the community thinks its fake, some of the community hopes it's real. What gives me hope is their twitter, @minecraftapp. Here are a few things that can be found out from the twitter. They are trying to stay legal. iPod 2G and iPhone 3G users will be sad while all their friends are playing on their new devices. It's probably coming before early 2011.

Lets just hope that this app is real. And if not or they run into legal complications, minecraft is and will always be on the trusty PC/Mac. That's good enough!
