Minecraft is a big place. Minecraft take a lot if your time. It's vast world can be trekked for many minutes. The resources needed can take many hours to gather. But all of this can be sped up by using hacks and cheating. The INVedit (among others) make it so you're inventory can be whatever you want, whenever you want. Mods make it so you can fly on a boat, create instant bridges, and add new crafting recipes. All of this makes me wonder one thing, is it ruining the spirit of the game?
But, let's say I do decided to cheat, would it be part of the game to gather resources that could easily be gathered in 5 seconds? Would I have fun trekking the wide desert valleys when I could do it in 2 seconds? Would it be more fun to do everything with a "fast-forward" button? Sure, some like the bridge mod, boat mod, and ride-all-mobs mob, make the game fun. But at what cost are we at risk of losing the originality that was Minecraft? Would you rather play a pure and free Minecraft or one with souped tricks and hacks. I, personally, would play it the way it was meant to be played, vanilla mode. What do you think about cheating. Do you cheat or not?
