**OK, seriously, who thought up of the ingenious idea of hey "watch me play a game you like when you could be playing this game yourself right now!" Seriously, it's a waste of time. I never liked it because it's pretty much... not original. The idea of watching someone else play a game, unless they do something cool, is really old. I mean, if they're making a GIANT build, then maybe , I will watch. But if you want me to watch you play Minecraft, then no I will not.
Although I have to give credit to SeaNanners. Before Minecraft, I only knew SeaNanners for Modern Warfare 2, and now when He discovered Minecraft, everything changed. People credit him with bringing a lot of his userbase to Minecraft. The same goes for X's adventures who both manically converted every viewer into the craze that was Minecraft-mania. At any rate, I still wouldn't give people my full attention of watching them play a game, even more one that I like. I don't see the reason behind it, but I know it's there. I mean with all these videos popping up recently, don't you think someone would have objected? Ah well, what do you think of these types of videos/series?
Then again, these videos serve a different purpose. Some watch them to see how the game is before they decide on their purchase. Some watch it because they have nothing better else to do. At the end of the day, it's all about preference. Some people like to view these, some people don't. I don't like watching people play Minecraft, and you probably do. Hence this is why this article is an opinion. :)
**It seems I've struck a certain note with some readers. This article is purely an opinion. Nothing in here is right. Sure, some people attribute to buying a game because they watch people play and see how it is. I just thought it'd be better to try the game for yourself. Needless to say, there are people who prefer to play and people who prefer to watch others play.
